Abstract

The article discusses the personage and thought of Gerda Walther, one of Edmund Husserl’s students. The course of her development included a transition from Marxism and atheism to Christianity, and one of the fundamental factors behind this change was the discovery of the phenomenological method. The result of Walther’s experiences and research interests was the work The Phenomenology of Mysticism (Phänomenologie der Mystik).
