TY - JOUR AB - The aim of this paper is to elucidate the phrase “coming to be”, which at first glance seems trivial, but in reality involves several problems. The paper consist of two parts: The first elucidates the verb “to be” and its derivatives. The second describes ways to being. In the conclusion of the paper, the author postulates the existence of a first transcendent Cause, which is required in order to fully explain those changes in the world that are absolutely irreversible.
